| Purpose: The Hope Institute for Youth Enhancement is a non-profit Christian organization, which consists of men and women in the Metropolitan Nashville area with the sole purpose of re-directing the troubled lives of at-risk youth into productive citizens. In most cases, the youth in our program are already in the juvenile court system and our organization allows them, for the first time, an opportunity to have a positive, caring group of adult individuals involved in the re-shaping of their lives. In order to accomplish the task of redirecting and the re-shaping of the lives of these youth into productive citizens, our organization focuses on the "total person" approach. This approach assists those at-risk youth selected for our program by addressing their true needs (i.e. spiritual growth, economic stability, cultural awareness, social acceptance, educational development and effective discipline techniques). |
